Who we are, what we hold, and how to make us stop.

Who is responsible

Where your details came from

If we contacted you first, we took your business name, business email address and public information about your website from sources your business already publishes: your own website, your Google Business Profile, business directories and the Companies House register. We record the source and the date for everything we hold.

Why we hold it

To offer, build and send you a demonstration website. For companies and limited liability partnerships we rely on legitimate interests: contacting a business about a service directly relevant to it. For messages sent by WhatsApp we rely on your consent, given on our form.

What we do not do

We do not sell your details, share them with advertisers, or pass them to anyone outside the suppliers who run our email, hosting and payments.

How long we keep it

Two years from your last contact with us, unless you are a customer, in which case we keep records for as long as the law requires. If you ask us to stop contacting you we keep the minimum needed to make sure we never contact you again.

Your rights

You can object to marketing at any time and we will stop, permanently. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email ashley@getwebsiteos.com and we will deal with it within a month. If you are not happy with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
